Curly Maple secretary

James Kroll, of James Kroll Fine Woodworking built this secretary desk from curly maple.  Built like the originals, with some 168 hand cut dovetails, period chased brasses, ogee bracket feet and a hand applied finish. The gallery is a close copy of a 1760 secretary seen in a local museum. This piece captures the look and has the presence of work built in an earlier time.
