From Kelly Dunton:
“I made this early 1800’s styled dovetailed blanket chest when I came across a rare opportunity to purchase some 20 inch wide pine boards. I wanted the chest to seem as if it was made 200 years ago. All surfaces are hand planed and the joints hand cut. To complete the antique feel for this project I used an simple penetrating oil finish over a stain of strong tea. Complementing the hand work in wood is the addition of Horton’s hand forged iron blanket chest hinges and antiqued hardware.
