Handles fit for a Castle

Kitchen hardware meant for a castle

Are you looking for new kitchen handles or pulls that are unique as well as beautiful? If so, then you’re in luck; our Holy Island pulls will put your searching to an end. Our cabinet pulls from Horton-Brasses.com were designed for a castle on Holy Island. That’s right; we said castle, and not just any castle — a historic castle off the northeastern coast of England. Why wouldn’t you want to install castle worthy pulls in your home?

First, let’s talk about the castle that made our pulls so famous. The castle is called Lindisfarne Castle and is located on Holy Island, a small island off the northeastern coast of England. The castle was originally built in 1550 as a fortress against the attacking Scottish and Vikings. Lindisfarne sits on top of a volcanic mound known as Beblowe and is made out of priory stones that belonged to an old monastery that was built there in early 600 BC. In 1901, publisher and owner of Country Life magazine, Edward Hudson, negotiated a price to purchase the castle from the crown. The castle is now owned and cared for by the National Trust, and we are proud to supply you with the pulls and handles of Lindisfarne Castle.

If you liked the bit about the castle, then you’re sure to fall in love with the Holy Island pulls. The pulls, or handles, are make from real cast brass and are great for cabinets, drawers, and doors. What makes these pulls perfect for a castle are the beautiful Mackintosh roses engraved on the face of each pull. We want your new pulls to match your kitchen flawlessly, so feel free to choose one of five unique finishes. We even supply custom satin and polished nickel finishes. If you want kitchen pulls that are beautiful, unique and hold historical value, the Holy Island pull is for you.
